Causes of Constipation: Inadequate Water & Fiber Supply

One of the main causes of constipation is getting too little water and fiber into your body. These two things can battle constipation more than anything. When waste passes through your body, water is sucked from it slowly for use elsewhere. When your body is dehydrated, it takes water from waste much more quickly, causing it to get stuck and move very slowly out of your body. This can be very painful and can cause toxins to get back into your body. Fiber is rough material that is indigestible to humans, acting as a scrub for your colon and bowels. It’s sole purpose is to help you move waste through your body more effectively. A diet that includes plenty of water and fiber is one of the best ways to fight constipation.
