More and more people both inside and outside of the conventional medical community are coming to believe that internal Candida may be the cause behind a variety of intestinal complaints. Candida is a fungal infection most commonly seen in the diaper rashes in babies and in oral thrush. Candida albicans seems to thrive in the moist, nutrient-rich linings of the human digestive tract.
There are few studies out there that are beginning to shed light on this mysterious condition and several books on the market and in public libraries explaining this condition. Their titles often refer to internal yeast infections, but that’s really the same thing as an internal Candida infection.
They also theorize that internal Candida can also slow metabolism, promote weight-gain and drain a person of needed energy. Without enough energy, a person gets very moody and has difficulty in even making the smallest of decisions.
Candida normally lives very quietly inside the human digestive tract. There are at least twenty six different types known to science. But for some reason, the Candida can get out of balance with the rest of the digestive tract and begin to have a detrimental effect on the host.
Although science is not sure exactly how and why the Candida is problematical in some people more than others, they are sure of one thing – that most people who take a Candida cleanse and engage in diet modification often feel much better.
