The Master Cleanse Recipe

The lemonade diet or the master cleanse was first introduced by natural health expert Stanley Burroughs in the 1940s. Stanley discovered that the body was polluted and filled with waste and these toxins created disease and illnesses. Burroughs believed that the body has the ability to heal itself, so he developed a master cleanse recipe that would cleanse and repair the body. The simplicity of his master cleanse recipe made some health professional skeptical, but the results of his plan made the skeptics, believers. The master cleanse recipe is similar to a fast, but the plan does include 600 to 1000 calories a day, so it is not considered a fast by many nutritional professionals.

Instructions for The Master Cleanse Recipe

The master cleanse recipe has four ingredients and three of them are usually in every kitchen. Filtered water, grade B maple syrup, fresh lemons and cayenne pepper are the main ingredients, but different recipes that include herbal teas can be created based on personal preferences. There are a few basic things to remember about the ingredients: First, the water must be filtered, tap water and bottle water are not acceptable unless they have been filtered. Second, the lemons must be fresh as well as organic. Concentrated lemon juice is not an option. Third, the maple syrup must be grade B, not breakfast syrup. Grade B goes through a refining process; vital nutrients are still in the syrup.

It?s easier to combine the master cleanse ingredients and produce a recipe that will be enough for all the daily meals. A one day recipe is 2 individual quart bottles of lemonade which includes:

  • 14 Table Spoons Lemon Juice.
  • 14 Table Spoons Maple Syrup.
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper or as much as you can stand.
  • 2 Quarts of Filtered Water.
  • 1 Quart of a Salt Water Flush which is 1 Tablespoon of Organic Sea Salt mixed in Filtered Water.

Another quart of filtered water should be prepared at the same time to use as a chaser. Some of the lemon pulp can be included in the recipe, although it may initiate extra digestive efforts, if too much is used. When there is a food craving or hunger pain a shot or more of the lemonade along with one or two shots of the filtered water chaser is enough to make an impact on the stomach as well as the brain anytime during the day. The salt water flush should be used once a day, which is usually in the evening because a bowel movement follows shortly after the entire quart of sea salt solution is absorbed into the body.

The master cleanse recipe should be used after a three day pre-cleanse plan is followed. The pre-cleanse plan helps the body adjust to the removal of processed foods and meats from the diet. On the first day of the pre-cleanse plan only fruits and vegetables are consumed. The second day is a liquid diet of fruit and vegetable juices. The third day is an orange juice and maple syrup drink, which leads up to the fourth day and the master cleanse recipe. The master cleanse recipe should be followed for seven to ten days in order to experience maximum cleansing results.
